What is NTSE?

NTSE - National Talent Search Examination is one of the most coveted national level examinations conducted by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT). The scholarship is what makes the NTSE Exam beloved to the students. For the students of class 10th, NTSE offers scholarships that enable them to pursue courses in the stream of science and social science (for up to doctoral-level studies) and professional courses such as engineering and medicine (for up to second-degree level).

Starting off as a test especially for the students in the science stream, the NTSE, today covers a wide arena of academic streams thereby helping a plethora of students in pursuing their dream education.

The NTSE scholars will get a scholarship of Rs 2000 for pursuing science, social science, humanities, fine arts, languages, commerce, or vocational studies in classes +1 and +2 is Rs 1250. Per month the scholarship amount is increased by Rs 2000 at the undergraduate level. The scholarship for Ph.D. programs is given according to the UGC standards.
Almost all the recognised coaching centres which prepare students for careers in science discipline offer free admission and up to 50% off on study material.
For the IIIT-Delhi aspirants, a bonus of 6 marks will be added to their JEE Main score while considering admission into the institute.
Most of the foreign universities that offer undergraduate courses in science give preference to NTSE scholars during selections.
If you have the tag of an NTSE Scholar, getting an internship in the early years of college would be easy
The NTSE Scholars will get special preference if they want to study in a foreign country. If they apply for US scholarships they will get additional marks for being an NTSE qualifier.
Some Indian colleges have reserved seats for NTSE scholars. So, they can get direct admission to colleges without taking any entrance test.
If you have the tag of an NTSE scholar in your resume will give you an upper hand in job interviews. You will get special preference in government jobs and NDA interview selection as well.
NTSE scholars will get concession on course materials and books at high school. In case someone applies for admission to another school, then NTSE scholars get first preference.
